Privacy policy

Who is responsible

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. Analytics cookies are only used if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until then, all analytics storage is denied (Google Consent Mode).

If you accept, your data is combined with that of all other visitors and processed by Google. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key "hb-consent"). You can change it at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer: this deletes the stored choice, withdraws your consent straight away and shows the cookie banner again. Google Analytics cookies that were already set can be removed in your browser settings.

This one choice covers both analytics and the Instagram feed.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive the information you enter: company name, name, role, e-mail address and message. We use it only to respond to your request and for the collaboration you ask about. The message is sent to us by e-mail.

To prevent spam, the form uses a hidden field and a timing check, and limits how often a message can be sent from the same IP address. The IP address is stored only as a short-lived hash for this purpose.

Donations

The donate button loads PayPal only after you click it; until then your browser makes no contact with PayPal. Payments are handled entirely by PayPal under its own privacy policy. We only see the information PayPal shares with us about the donation.

Instagram feed

The Instagram feed on the homepage is built from a feed provided by a third-party service (Behold), which retrieves the posts from Instagram. The feed and the post images are only requested from that service after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until then, nothing is requested from that service or from Instagram: you only see a placeholder with a link to the Instagram profile.

Once the feed is loaded, the service receives technical data such as your IP address and browser details, and (when you follow a link to a post) Instagram (Meta) does too, under their own privacy policies. If you reject cookies, or withdraw your consent via "Cookie settings" in the footer, the feed is no longer loaded; if it was already shown, the page reloads without it.

Embedded content and links

The YouTube video is only loaded after you click play, using the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. Before that, no data is sent to YouTube.

Links to social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube) and to our shop at shop.huibelanda.com take you to other websites with their own privacy policies.

Fonts and hosting

Fonts are hosted on this website itself, so no data is sent to a font provider. The website is hosted by Strato.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Send a request to contact.huibelanda@protonmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
